The Foundation for Global Community The work of the Foundation spans half a century, involving individual spiritual growth, social action, grassroots education, and mediation of international conflicts. It is perhaps best known on the international scene for its Beyond War Awards (1983-1990), which reached millions of people worldwide through global satellite coverage. The present work includes courses, production of educational videos, lectures at its Palo Alto, California, facility, and seminars at the Foundation's Sequoia Seminar retreat center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Programs include individual participation, collaborative efforts, and concerted social action. The Foundation publishes a bimonthly magazine, Timeline. Foundation for Global Community is staffed almost entirely by volunteers and is funded by donations that are tax deductible.
